Narthex
Schedule
Arrive at 9:30am for usher duty. Please make sure candles are
stocked weekly and that when the bins in both cabinets start to get full
they are emptied. It would
really help for the male ushers to empty the bins because they are
heavy. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Alter Boys
Last Sunday's meeting was good. I thank all
of you for your attendance. Attached to this email is a list
of the young men that attended and were assinged to the four teams.
If there are corrections that need to me made, please let me know
through email or in person. If there are young men who did not
attend and want to be included on a team, please inform me.
Next Sunday, September 28th is assigned to group
four (4). Please be early. Divine Liturgy begins at
10am. Parents, please get your sons there at least 10 minutes
earlier. Any altar boy arriving after 10:15am will not
be allowed to serve.
A new procedure will be begin this
ecclesiastical year. The team of altar boys that are assigned
for their Sunday of service will have priority positions at the
altar. This year there will be two rows of altar boys.
The assigned team will stand in a row closest to the altar table.
The altar boys that are serving on a Sunday that is not their
assigned day will please stand in a row behind the assigned altar
boys.
The assigned team will proceed, in order of age,
at all processions. The additional altar boys will only
proceed at the Great Entrance. For example, this Sunday, the
fourth Sunday of the month, team four is assigned. These four
altar boys will line up at the small entrance, the Gospel reading
and the Great Entrance. The remaining altar boys, who are not
members of team four, will only proceed at the Great Entrance.
Altar boys who are team leaders (Nicholas
Maroudas, Michael Legler, RJ Zeiler, and Theodore Brisimitzkis) are
incouraged to read the Epistle reading for their assigned Sunday.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year serving at God's altar with
you.
In Christ's Love,
Fr. Nicholas Papedo
